Art Adventure Volunteer Teachers Needed

This year, second graders will again get to take part in a program called Art Adventure, which is offered through the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Students will get to learn about several pieces of art featured at the museum, and do an art project related to those pieces.  We would like to have one parent volunteer for each class.  Volunteers will go through a training session and then work with the kids four times throughout the year.  This will be done during their Art specialist time, and the art teacher will be there to assist with the lesson and the project.  The lessons and the projects have already been prepared, so there is not much prep work that will go into the volunteer commitment. It’s a really fun program, and a great way for you to spend a little time in the classroom with your child.  If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Glendale’s Art Adventure Coordinator, Becky Bickett at becky@bickettmarketing.com or 952-226-1457.
