MAP Testing

Our second graders will be taking their first round of MAP tests coming soon!  Our dates are Wednesday, September 12th for Math and Wednesday, September 19th for Reading.  Please be sure your child is well rested and has a good breakfast on the days we have MAP testing.  There is nothing for your child to "study" or prepare for.  These tests are a baseline to find out what your child already knows.  Although, if you would like have your child work on some of the skills that will be tested, below are two websites (one for reading and one for math) that are helpful.  Because your child does not have a RIT score yet, choose activities in the 180's or 190's to start.  If it is too hard or too easy you can guide your child up or down from there.  Please remember not to put any pressure on your child for these tests.  This is the first testing session for second graders and we want them to have a possitive experience.  Results will be given to you at conferences.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
