Our annual Harvest Party will be on Monday, October 31st from 2:15-3:15. First graders will have their party with our second graders. Together our class will join the other second graders and rotate through the four second grade classrooms doing various activities in each. Parent volunteers will be contacted soon if not already. If you haven't heard anything by next week and would like to help, please let me know. Chidlren are encouraged to bring their costumes to school and change into them before the party. According to District guidelines, the wearing of costumes to the Harvest Party is option. If your child does choose to wear a costume, we ask that you avoid costumes that depict violence and have guns, knives, swords, blood, etc. Costumes also need to be culturally sensitive. Please plan for a quick and easy costume change for your child before the party. Pulling the costume over their clothes words best as teh lines in the bathroom get very long and time consuming.
