Kemps Nickels for Schools Update: Kemps has decided to discontinue this fundraising program and will be accepting one final shipment. If you have any milk tops please send them to school or drop them off in the front hall before October 15 so we can mail our final shipment to Kemps before the October 31 deadline.
Glendale Buzz Book 2012/13 - This is the Glendale Elementary Buzz Book. Your opportunity to not only post your student(s) info into an information tool, but a great resource when your child wants to schedule that play date or you need to contact a parent in your child's class. Available in two forms - Electronic PDF for FREE or Hardcopy for just $2. We'd like to get responses by October 5th. Information submitted will only be used for the sole purpose of the creation of the Buzz Book. Volunteer Opportunities: Glendale's Book Fair 10/11-12, 15-16. Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Glendale!! Help connect kids with books they want to read. We are looking for 10 volunteers. Student Council Co-Advisor: Pam Scepaniak is looking for a co-advisor for the 2012-13 year. Glendale's Student Council meets monthly to organize community outreach events & school spirit days. Without parent guidance this program cannot function. Please consider this opportunity to work with our student leaders. If you attended the Open House, you got a chance to see some of the sample items available. DOGS Tailgating at Prior Lake vs. Eastview football game (Date placeholder): the Glendale DOGS, along with Jeffers Pond and Westwood DOGS, have planned a tailgating event at the October 12th Prior Lake football game vs. Eastview. More details to come soon (Great opportunity to wear your Glendale spirit wear.
Next DOGS Meeting: thanks for all of you who came out to the first DOGS meeting on the 13th. We had 30 dads at the event and was great to meet all of you and look forward to seeing you at our events the rest of the year. Our meetings are scheduled the 3rd Thursday of each month. Due to a conflict our next meeting is scheduled for October 10th. Hope to see you all out there again.
