September is coming to an end, I can't believe the first month of school has gone by! Please click on the Calendars tab at the top of the blog to view and print the October class calendar. You may also view the October Reading calendars. The students are bringing their calendars home today. Please finish the September calendar, sign it, and have your child return it to school. For October, choose with your child to either do the challenges or complete a reading minutes log for the month. The Read-A-Thon pledge money is due next week. Please see the post below for more information. We started "Take Home Books" this week. Read them with your child and be sure to have conversations about the books, both if they are just right and comprehension. This Friday your child will bring home their Communication Journal.  Please read their letter to you and find a time to write back.  Students should bring their journals to school on Monday.  They do not have to read your letter, we will read it in class (a fun surprise!).  Thank you for keeping up on the math flash cards that are coming home. Remember to practice them with your child off and on throughout the week. The kids are doing great on their timed tests. Tests will come home in Monday mail next week. Conference reminder notes will also come home in Monday mail. Please double check your date and time, then send back the bottom portion of the form. I am looking forward to visiting with all of you!
