Students and staff are encouraged to dress up as a favorite book character on Friday, February 15th. If your child chooses to wear a costume, we ask that you avoid costumes that depict violence and have guns, knives, swords, blood, etc. Costumes also need to be culturally sensitive. Students should arrive at school dressed as their book character.
Book
Exchange:
From February 11th-21st, students
will have the opportunity to bring in gently used books (picture books and
chapter books welcome). From 9:20-9:40am teachers will allow students to turn in
these books to tables near the 5th grade classrooms. For every 2 books a student
brings in, he/she will receive 1 ticket to be cashed in for a different gently
used book at Reading Night. Bring as many books in as you wish.
Bob Gasch,
Storyteller:
Glendale has invited the
spectacular storyteller Bob Gasch to perform on Thursday, February 21st. Bob Gasch
is a very talented storyteller. He has visited us in previous years to tell us

return for Reading Night and do an additional performance for students from
7:15-7:45pm.
