Updates

We have started our second quarter and everything is going smooth in our first and second grade class.  Both grades have published their first personal narriative stories, we also wrote fun turkey stories this week.  First and second grade continues in unit 3 for math, thank you for working on homelinks with your child every night.  The first graders did a great job at their first one minute mad math test!  This will continue after Thanksgiving on our next full week of school.  On Mondays the first graders will bring home a sheet of the problems they are working on for the week, these should be used as flash cards.  Have your child write the answer on the back, cut them out and you can show the cards as flash cards.  Keep each week, add the cards to your set and continue to practice adding without fingers.  See blog posts below for more information.  Please let me know if you couldn't view your child's report card this week via family home access or if you have questions.  Thank you!
