Summer Math Practice

Summer Hours

This summer Glendale will be hosting summer school to students entering grades 1-6 from July 8-August 1.  Summer school hours will be Monday through Thursday from 8:30-11:30 am.  Any questions regarding summer school, please contact the Glendale office.  Kids Company will also be at Glendale this summer from June 12-August 9 with optional care August 12-15.  Our office will be open from 7:00 am-3:00 pm until June 28.  The Office will be closed from June 30-July 29.  Our office will reopen again on July 30.  We can be contacted at 952-226-0200.  During the time our office is closed, question can be answered by calling the district office at 952-226-0000.  Please check our website for supply list information and school updates over the summer.

2013-14 Open House

Our 2013-14 Open House will be held on Wednesday, August 21 from 3:30-5:30 pm.  Mark your calendars for "Back to School Night."  This is an exciting day to meet your teacher and see the classroom!  Please note that Hidden Oaks and Twin Oaks Middle Schools are on the same day, but start at 4:00 pm and continue to 8:00 pm.

There are many questions each summer about how to find information for the next school year. 

  -Bus information for the 2013-14 school year will be posted on Family Access in mid-August

  -Letters with teacher placements and health forms for 2013-14 will be sent through the mail in mid-August.

Thank you to all of you who have volunteered in one way or another this year including: home projects, classroom helper, supply donations, field trips, party helper etc. I can't thank you enough for all your time and support! I really appreciate your help! 

Beach Day

Glendale Student Council is sponsoring Beach Day on Tuesday, June 4. Students are encouraged to wear beach attire (bathing suits need to be covered up). Please send your child in their beach clothing to school but also send tennis shoes for recess.  If your child would like to bring a beach towel, sunglasses, beach hat etc. we will be reading books on our beach towels outside that day.

Final Report Cards

Report cards will be posted to Family/Student Access on Tuesday, June 11th. If you need assistance with your Family Access log-in information, please contact the Glendale Elementary office at 952-226-0200.  Parents who are unable to access the report card information online can request a paper copy from the school.

Look Around for Glendale Books

Please note that all Mrs. Anderson's books  (and bags) from home are due back to school. Please take a look around your home to see if you have any Anderson, Kuntz, or Gratz books.  Glendale Library Books are due as well.

Monday, June 3rd Field Trip Reminder - Disposable Lunch Needed

Reminder that our field trip to Sea Life on Monday, June 3rd will be from 9:45-2:15. Please send a disposable bag lunch and drink with your child. Also, please ensure your child has comfortable shoes (not flip flops or sandals). 

Parent chaperones - please arrive by 9:20. You may bring a lunch too.

Yearbooks

Yearbooks are here and went home with students today. If your child would still like to purchase a yearbook, please send in $16 with your child. They will walk down to the office to purchase a yearbook while supplies last. The extra yearbooks usually sell out pretty quickly. 

Please remind your child to bring back their yearbooks on Tuesday, June 4 for our annual yearbook signing from 3:00-3:30.  Put your child's name on the front cover so we can keep track of each other's yearbooks.
